Kaley Mancuso oversees a segment of the corporate market, as well as the social and education markets, supporting Visit Plano’s efforts to attract meetings, events, and group travel to the destination.
Q&A with Kaley
Q. Can you tell us a little about yourself?
A. I grew up in North Texas, so it’s especially meaningful to now be part of sharing the community I’ve always called home. Before joining Visit Plano, I spent 11 years working in public education, and I’ve always enjoyed building relationships and connecting with people. Outside of work, I’m usually planning my next trip, baking cookies, or watching whatever sport happens to be on. My favorite way to spend time, though, is with my husband and my family – especially my niece and nephew, who always keep me laughing and on my toes.
Q. What were your previous roles before joining the Visit Plano team?
A. I graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor’s degree in Education and a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology which led into the first part of my career. I was an elementary teacher, a campus intervention specialist, and assistant principal – totaling 11 years in public education prior to joining the Visit Plano team.
Q. How long have you been with Visit Plano and what is your favorite part about working for Visit Plano so far?
A. I’ve been with Visit Plano since December 2025, and I have loved meeting new people and working with such an amazing and collaborative team! It has been so fun to see the way Visit Plano truly serves both our community and the guests we welcome!
Q. What are some of your favorite things to do, see, and eat in Plano?
A. You can often catch me at The Boardwalk eating at Seager & Sons, or listening to music at Legacy Hall. Growing up, I always loved seeing the balloons at the Plano Balloon festival or strolling through Deerfield to look at the lights around the holidays!
Q. What has been your favorite vacation?
A. I’m always trying to make sure my next trip tops the last one, which is a pretty high bar! A few favorites are Napa with my husband for the beautiful scenery, amazing food, and wonderful people; Breckenridge with my family at Christmas, complete with postcard-worthy mountain views and quality time together; and Italy, where it was incredible to see so much history that I’d only ever read about in books. Next up is a trip to the British Virgin Islands later this month, and I can’t wait to see where it ranks on the list!
Q. Guilty pleasure: What can you not live without?
A: If I had to pick a guilty pleasure, it would definitely be getting my regular manicures. There’s just something about taking time to sit back and relax that feels like a reset button. It’s one of my favorite little ways to treat myself, and you never know what color or design I’ll end up with – it’s usually different each time!
Q. What is an interesting fact about yourself?
A: I have a Great Dane named Louis (from Louisiana) who keeps life entertaining. He’s afraid of bananas, believes all human food belongs to him (with the exception of vegetables), and has somehow claimed an entire room in our house as his own. At about 130 pounds, he’s impossible to miss and always gives us a good story to tell.
