Visit Plano Serves as Presenting Sponsor of Destinations Texas Annual Conference and Earns Award Recognitions
Visit Plano is proud to have been this year’s Presenting Sponsor and recipient of three Texas Destination Awards at the 2026 Destinations Texas Annual Conference. These accolades reflect both the strength of the destination and the dedication of the exceptional team behind its success.
Visit Plano welcomed nearly 400 participants from across the state for the conference at Marriott at Legacy Town Center. The conference served as a vital hub for Texas destination organizations and tourism partners to connect, access timely industry resources, build valuable networks and pursue premier professional development.
In addition to serving as the Presenting Sponsor, Visit Plano received honors in the Texas Destination Awards, which celebrates excellence in destination management across the state:

- 3rd Place- Leisure Tourism Promotion

Judged by a panel of industry experts, these awards reflect the Visit Plano team’s innovative work in promoting Plano as a premier leisure destination and its commitment to fostering strong community connections.
As this year’s host, Visit Plano showcased “The City of Excellence” as a vibrant and dynamic destination for visitors. The Visit Plano team spotlighted top attractions and dining for conference attendees, like the Dark Hour Haunted House – one of the most acclaimed haunted attractions in Texas – one-of-a-kind artisanal food hall Legacy Hall and Texas farm-to-fork restaurant Haywire.
