FACES OF TRAVEL

The travel industry is one that relies on human interaction—whether it’s the front desk clerk at a hotel, the tour guide in a historic district, or the ticketing agent at an airport, our people are what make America a great place to visit, and keep our industry strong. That’s why, as part of National Travel and Tourism Week (NTTW) 2017, May 7-13, our industry is shining the spotlight on the people behind our nation’s travel industry with this year’s theme “Faces of Travel.”

We have many things to be proud of this year. Legacy West, the largest new mixed-use destination in North Texas,  is getting ready to celebrate their grand opening June 2-4. The $3.2 billion dollar, 255 acre development boasts 415,000 dynamic square feet of open-air retail and restaurant space.

The Downtown Plano Arts District has experienced a renaissance, bringing in thousands upon thousands of people for events like Artfest, the Downtown Plano Art and Wine Walks, Steinfest, Movies in the Park, monthly live music events; all this on top of all the fabulous boutique shops and amazing one-of-a-kind restaurants.
