Plano First City in Texas to Provide Free Wi-Fi at Parks and Recreation Centers

Free Wi-Fi available at city parks

The City of Plano, in partnership with Toyota, American Park Network and Time Warner Cable, has announced free public Wi-Fi is now available at city parks and recreation centers. The public-private partnership provides free connectivity both outdoor and indoor for all visitors.

In outdoor locations, such as Arbor Hills, High Point Tennis Center, Haggard, Carpenter and Oak Point Park, the free service is called Oh, Ranger! Wi-Fi. At indoor locations/recreation centers, visitors can find the free service by selecting the Time Warner Cable hot spot in the Wi-Fi settings on their mobile devices.

We’re very excited for this new partnership to allow citizens and visitors to use free Wi-Fi at Plano parks and recreation centers. Now, visitors can upload beautiful photos of their nature walk through Arbor Hills Nature Preserve and Oak Point Park & Nature Preserve to social media with ease. Don’t forget to tag #VisitPlano!
