1. Minecraft Experience

Just a few more weeks remain of the inaugural Minecraft Experience: Villager Rescue immersive and interactive exhibit. Through January 20th, embark on a high-stakes rescue mission and interactive scavenger hunt through multiple Minecraft biomes and dimensions.

2. Dallas Area Train Show

January 18th-19th at Plano Event Center, coming into station is the Dallas Area Train Show. Admission is $10 per person (kids 12 and under are FREE). Hours Saturday are 10am-5pm and Sunday 10am-4pm.

3. A Broadway Valentine

What better way to celebrate Valentine’s than with an unforgettable evening featuring some of the best-known love ballads of Broadway! This show on February 15th at the PLANO ISD Robinson Fine Arts Center will feature three fabulous singers: Alli Mauzey (starred in the 2023 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Kimberly Akimbo), LaKisha Jones (best known to millions of TV viewers as a top four finalist during the 2007 season of American Idol), and Jason Forbach (most notably performed in the acclaimed 2022 Broadway revival of Into the Woods alongside Sara Barielles).

4. St. Patrick’s Day Fest

Head to the Downtown Plano Arts District on March 15th for The Fillmore Pub’s annual St. Patrick’s Day bash held at their restaurant and McCall Plaza right off their patio. More details to come!

Join the Plano community on June 14th for several Juneteenth celebrations across the city. Legacy Hall will feature their traditional Juneteenth Fashion Show and Downtown Plano will feature a celebration and parade with more details to come.

13. Plano’s All American Fourth

Celebrate Independence Day at Plano’s All American 4th! Bring your family and friends to enjoy free fun and games and food and drinks for purchase before the grand finale – a magical fireworks show over Oak Point Park. The fireworks will be simulcast live on 97.5 KLAK radio. All American 4th opens at 6pm, fireworks begin at 9:30pm, and the event ends at 10pm. This is a free, family-friendly event open to the public. Blankets, lawn chairs and coolers are welcome, but please leave all pets at home.

Retro Expo returns July 12th-13th at Plano Event Center featuring an Avatar voice actor reunion, meet & greet with Ray Park, AKA Darth Maul, plus vintage & collectible toys, comic books, records, video games, apparel, props, exclusives and more! More featured guests TBA.

Join us on October 5th for a magical evening in Downtown Plano when Night Out on 15th returns. Wine and conversation will flow across a 300-foot-long table running down the middle of 15th Street with our beautiful historic buildings as the backdrop. 20. Apparition Expedition

Part history tour, and part ghost story-telling, all ages are invited to embark on the Apparition Expedition in Downtown Plano on October 24th. As the veil between the worlds thins, the spirits grow restless. They want their stories heard. Are you ready to hear them? For one night only, ticketed guests will have a chance to navigate their way from one historic location to another at their own pace while hearing the tales of tragedy that make up Plano’s haunted history.

Rest In Plano (RIP) Fest, is a free Halloween-themed festival in Downtown Plano Arts District on October 25th. This spooky celebration is held in McCall Plaza with entertainment, music, food, drink and more.

23. Plano Flags of Honor

A field of over 1,000 3′ x 5′ American Flags will express our gratitude to our veterans and first responders. Each flag tells the story of heroes whose lives were devoted in service to others, many of whom made the ultimate sacrifice. This November at Oak Point Park, we will honor family members, friends and neighbors whose service and sacrifices have allowed all of us to be safe and enjoy freedoms many in other lands cannot enjoy. By honoring them through this display, we are creating a visual expression of our gratitude to those who serve, present and past, living and deceased, while raising money for their causes.

24. Dickens in Downtown Plano

Kick off the holiday season with Dickens, a free event held December 6th in the historic Downtown Plano Arts District. Bring the whole family for our annual celebration which includes photos with Santa, a snow slide, the Coffee and Cocoa Walk, the Childrens Entrepreneur Market, and a traditional tree lighting with the Plano mayor and city VIPs. The tree lighting ceremony will begin at 7pm. The downtown businesses will stay open late so guests can enjoy food and shopping.

25. Plano Holiday Parade

Organized by the Rotary Clubs of Plano, The Plano Holiday Parade will return to Downtown Plano on Dec. 13th.
