Schedule of Events

This fantastic hot air balloon fest occurs every year during the third weekend in September.

Here is what to expect for the 2023 Plano Balloon Festival:

Thursday, September 21st

Experience Balloon Glow at Oak Point Park, where you can see hot air balloons immerse themselves from within. The Plano Symphony Orchestra Family Friendly Concert will also be on the FOX4 Main Stage.

Friday, September 22nd

On Friday, the Plano Balloon Festival opens with a concert on the Fox4 Main Stage at 4:00 p.m., followed by the RE/MAX of Texas Parachute Team Exhibition. There will also be Balloon Glow presented by RE/MAX, another concert on the FOX4 Main stage, and a fireworks show.

Saturday, September 23rd

The Balloon Launch, presented by Dos Equis, will occur at 7:00 am on Saturday. Then later in the afternoon, a concert will start on the Fox4 Main stage. There will also be a RE/MAX of Texas Parachute Team Exhibition, Balloon Glow, presented by HEB | Central, followed by another concert on the Fox4 Main Stage, including a fireworks show.

Sunday, September 24th

Saturday will include a Balloon Launch presented by the City of Plano. The festival will close at 11:00 am, and another exciting hot air balloon fest will be on the books!

Thursday, September 21: 5 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Friday, September 22: 4 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Saturday, September 23: 6 a.m. – 8 a.m. & 4 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Sunday, September 24: 6 a.m. – 11 a.m.

Tickets

This year the Plano Balloon Festival is going cashless for Parking, Admission Tickets, and Kids Fun Zone ride tickets so make sure you use a credit card, debit card, or Apple Pay.

Ticket prices are as follows:

$10 – Adult Ticket
$ 5 – Kids 3-12 years old
$ 5 – Seniors 65 and older
Free for Kids 36 inches and under
Free for all Military (including retired) with valid ID
Free for First Responders (including Police Officers, Fire Fighters, Nurses, and Doctors) with valid ID
Valid for ID Holder Only. Limit 1 Ticket per ID.

Presale Tickets will be available for purchase online beginning June 15.
