Dark Hour Haunted House

Dark Hour Haunted House returns this fall from September 22-October 31. This year the 13 witches of the Dark Hour Coven have gathered to cast the most terrifying spell…your worst nightmares come to life. Not for children under 10.

Monster club misadventures

Through October 28 at Dark Hour’s new escape experience, partake in Monster Club Misadventures. After rummaging through his grandparents’ attic, your friend excitedly told you on the phone about some “…wicked awesome stuff I found!  I think it was used to cast spells in the olden days!” There’s just one problem; he started dabbling in the dark arts before you could get there and now, he’s vanished! It’s up to YOU to bring him back. Save your friend from the catastrophic rift he caused in time & space before it’s too late! What could possibly go wrong?

Screamin’ Green Hauntoween

Young Frankenstein

At Willow Bend Center for the Arts October 6-October 15, enjoy the electrifying adaptation of Mel Brooks’ monstrously funny film that will leave you in stitches. From the creators of the record-breaking Broadway sensation, The Producers, comes this monster new musical comedy. The comedy genius, Mel Brooks, adapts his legendarily funny film into a brilliant stage creation – Young Frankenstein! Tickets are $20-$35.

Spook Alley

Make this spooky family-friendly walk-through attraction at The Texas Pool part of your family’s Halloween tradition. No scary ghouls… just some fun jumps, a few screams and laughter. Visitors of all ages are invited. Gates are open from 7pm-10pm every Saturday night in October. Admission is $5 per person or $20 per family. All proceeds and donations will support the historic Texas Pool.

Hall-o-ween Bar Crawl

Grab your friends, #squadghouls, and join Legacy Hall on Friday, October 13 for a wicked good time, during a self-guided bar crawl through the three floors and four bars at Legacy Hall.

Hall-O-Ween Movie Night: Hocus Pocus

Hitchcocktober Screening: Vertigo

Angelika Film Center presents their annual Hitchcocktober series featuring Vertigo on October 18. An intricate web of obsession and deceit follows a retired San Francisco detective in one of Alfred Hitchcock’s most powerful, deep, and stunningly beautiful films. VERTIGO stars James Stewart and Kim Novak as two souls caught in a doomed romance. After Scottie Ferguson retires from his position as a private investigator, he is lured into case by a friend whose wife is allegedly possessed by a spirit. After saving the enigmatic Madeleine from suicide, Scottie begins to fall in love with her – and each twist in VERTIGO’s unpredictably terrifying second half completely alters all prior notions about the characters and events.

Wild Boys, The Duran Duran Tribute Halloween Spectacular

Come undone to a live performance by Wild Boys, the ultimate Duran Duran tribute band at Legacy Hall on October 20 at 7pm! 80’s costumes are highly encouraged at this Halloween spectacular! Get there early with friends and enjoy dinner from nearly 20 eateries and craft cocktails from 5+ bars.

Nightmare at Legacy North

Get ready for a free spook-tacular day of family-friendly fun at Nightmare at Legacy North on Saturday, October 21 from 5pm-8pm for an unforgettable celebration of all things Halloween. Dress up in your favorite costumes and bring the whole family for an evening filled with music, games, delicious food, creative kids’ crafts, and freaky face painting. This event promises something for everyone, from the tiniest trick-or-treaters to the young at heart.

Sunset Movie Night at The Shops at Willow Bend: Hocus Pocus

I put a spell on you…to join us for a spooky movie night at The Shops at Willow Bend! Bring your best broom and join the crew for a screening of the iconic Halloween flick, Hocus Pocus, as the sun sets. Be careful to not get swept away when getting your picture with the Hocus Pocus special appearance from 6:30pm-7:30pm.! There won’t be circles of salt, but we will have Instagramable photo ops, as well as DJ GMO to kick off the event with a pre-movie party at 6:30pm. Don’t go smashing pumpkins this spooky season, swing by The District and enjoy our Sunset Movie Dinner Menu that won’t get your knickers in a twist!

Horror Movie Trivia Night

Be afraid, be very afraid… Get ready to put your scary movie knowledge to the test at Horror Movie Trivia Night on October 24. It’s spooky season at Legacy Hall, so grab your bravest friends for this epic evening of trivia, food, and spooky cocktails!

If your team comes out alive (and with the most points), you’ll win these grand prizes:

1st place: $100 Hall Pass
2nd place: $75 Hall Pass
3rd place: $50 Hall Pass

Bring a smart device (i.e. phone, tablet, or laptop) to safely send in answers from your table. PRO TIP: If you have a larger team, a device with a larger screen like a tablet is easier to play on. Seating is first come first served at this event, so arrive early to grab dinner and drinks from any of Legacy Hall’s 20+ eateries and bars.

Trivia buy-in is $30 per team of up to six players. Only one ticket needs to be purchased for the whole team.

HITCHCOCKTober Screening: Shadow of a Doubt

Angelika Film Center presents their annual Hitchcocktober series featuring Shadow of a Doubt on October 25. One of Alfred Hitchcock’s first masterpieces, SHADOW OF A DOUBT is back on the big screen! This critically acclaimed psychological thriller stars Joseph Cotton as Uncle Charlie, a calculating and charming killer who hides out in his relatives’ small hometown, and befriends her favorite niece and namesake, Young Charlie (Teresa Wright). But when she begins to suspect Uncle Charlie is the famed Merry Widow murderer, a deadly game of cat and mouse ensues.

Boo Bash

Join the Halloween fun at Tom Muehlenbeck Recreation Center on October 26 for their annual Boo Bash event. Families enter for free with a canned food donation and don their Halloween costumes for a night of trick-or-treating at the recreation center. Admission is free, no registration required.

Murder Mystery at Southfork Ranch

On October 26, come to the quintessential whodunnit thriller at the estate of Sir Warren Peace and get thrown into a night of mystery, intrigue, and murder you will never forget. With a killer crowd of people just waiting for murder to arrive on the scene, this night will keep everyone looking over their shoulders and guessing who the next victim will be. Bribe suspects for clues and gather information to uncover the unhinged guest who is whacking all the invitees. Just be careful, because you could be next! Dress your best in evening wear and suits—this is a refined party, after all.

Moonlight Movie Night at Assembly Park: Hocuc Pocus

Join us for a magical evening under the stars at Assembly Park for Moonlight Movie Night featuring the original Hocus Pocus! Grab your blankets, lawn chairs, and get ready for a night of fun and entertainment. Located at 1717 E Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano, TX 75074, our outdoor lawn offers a cozy and relaxed atmosphere, making it the ideal spot to unwind and watch a movie. APPARITION EXPEDITION

Take a peek into our city’s paranormal past with the Apparition Expedition, a walking tour through Downtown Plano’s haunted history. Our ghostly guides will lead you into historic homes and businesses where you will learn true tales of their haunted happenings.

Tours are one night only, Friday, October 27, and depart at 5pm and 8pm. Participants should wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather. The tour involves about 2.5 hours of walking, some parts will be outdoors and up stairs. Not recommended for children under 10 years of age.

Halloween on the Farm

Join us as we celebrate Halloween on the farmstead! Come in costume (nothing scary, please!) and bring a bag for trick for treating around the farm. We will have games, goodies, and activities like wagon rides and chicken feeding. Story time will feature a preschool favorite, The Very Busy Spider by Eric Carle. After story time, head to the historic Pole Barn to make your own spider craft to take home. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy a beautiful fall day on the farm!

REST IN PLANO FEST

Step through the gargoyle gates and be transported to a Downtown Plano you’ve never seen before…if you dare. Rest in Plano (R.I.P.) Fest, a free Halloween-themed festival, returns Saturday, October 28 from 5-10:30pm.

Explore eerie experiences along 15th Street including spectacularly spooky photo ops, creepy characters, thrilling performances, and live music on the McCall Plaza stage. Your favorite fall-festival foods will be available for purchase. And new this year – a giant blackout maze in Haggard Park parking Lot!

R.I.P. Fest offers frightful fun that guests of all ages can enjoy. We will have spooky sights all along 15th Street, but no gore or terrifying characters.

Sunset Movie Night at The Shops at Willow Bend: Coco

Join us for a special outdoor movie experience at The Shops at Willow Bend! Disney’s “Coco” explores Day of the Dead traditions and celebrates the love of family and friends for audiences of all ages. We will be celebrating all day long, so swing by before the film starts for a day of celebration and a guest appearance from Hector, Miguel, and Mama Imelda from 6:30pm to 7:30pm.

Decorate a Haunted Gingerbread house

Join Central Market in Plano for a few hours of Halloween fun decorating haunted Halloween houses with the kiddos. They’ll provide plenty of purple, black, and orange royal icing and mountains of creepy candy. The instructors will offer a few suggestions and then you and your child will create the scariest, edible haunted house on the block. Costumes are encouraged.

Legacy Hall Trick or Treat

We are brewing up something spooky this Halloween at Legacy Hall. On October 30, bring your family and friends along for a night of trick-or-treating, where you can collect delicious candies and treats from the Food Stalls at Legacy Hall and other local businesses. This will be a spooktacular evening of Halloween fun filled with treats, tricks, and lots of laughter. Don’t forget to show off your costumes and strike a pose at the costume contest. But that’s not all! They also have a lineup of exciting activities planned for the evening, including arts & crafts for kids, games and more. 

Hitchcocktober Screening: Psyco

Angelika Film Center presents their annual Hitchcocktober series featuring Psycho on October 25. Alfred Hitchcock’s landmark masterpiece of the macabre stars Anthony Perkins as the troubled Norman Bates, whose old dark house and adjoining motel are not the place to spend a quiet evening. When Marion Crane, spectacularly played by Janet Leigh, ends up at the Bates Motel after making off with $40,000 cash, there’s hardly a film fan alive who doesn’t know what happens next. First a private detective, then Marion’s sister, search for her as the horror and suspense mount to a terrifying climax where the mysterious killer is finally revealed.

Halloween at the Boo-Ardwalk

On Oct. 31 from 5:30-7:30 p.m., The Boardwalk at Granite Park is hosting its annual Halloween bash filled with family-friendly activities, scrumptious treats and ghoulishly good times – all at no cost to attend. All trick o’ treaters are invited to each of the Boardwalk’s six exquisite restaurants to collect their favorite candy. There will also be a haunted mansion, a DJ and dancing, balloon artists, spooky spider kids crafts, a popcorn cart and more!

R&B Hip Hop Night Sounds at Legacy Hall

Vegan Vibrationz and Vegans After Dark presents R&B/Hip Hop Night Sounds at Legacy Hall on Halloween night! What goes better than cocktails and crunchwraps? Cocktails, Crunchwraps and great music! Join us as DJ Twin 1 brings a whole new vibe to Legacy Hall!
