Tour the World at the Plano International Festival 2017

Plano International Festival

Experience the world in a single day! Join us in downtown Plano’s Haggard Park for the 13th annual Plano International Festival on Saturday, October 14 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. This free, family-friendly event showcases over 100 global cultures.

Attend one of the largest naturalization ceremonies in the area, witness a parade of flags and experience many cultural displays. The Children’s Global Village lets kids explore the world through music, STEM activities, crafts, and other fun learning opportunities. The festival features multi-cultural music and dance performances, hands-on and educational kids’ activities, a fashion show, and an art exhibit. Plano Int'l Festival

One of the festival’s biggest attractions is the food court, which over the years has featured a wide variety of cuisines, including: Indian, Thai, Polish, Mexican, Brazilian, Turkish, Caribbean, Puerto Rican, Mediterranean and American! After eating, drop your plates, food waste, and utensils into organic waste bins for later composting by the City of Plano. This and other green efforts have helped the festival divert 80% of waste from landfill. These efforts have awarded the festival four Environmental Star of Excellence awards.

Come early for the popular Fitness and Wellness Fair with free flu shots and health screenings, plus interactive fitness demos. The Fitness and Wellness Fair is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Courtyard Theater next to Haggard Park.

We hope you’ll come experience the sights, sounds, and tastes of the world on October 14th! See the event schedule here
