It’s October and the only thing on our minds is football, cooler weather, and of course, Halloween! We’ve rounded-up a list of Halloween-related events in Plano this month.

Pancho’s Pumpkin Patch & Hay Maze
Each Tuesday through Sunday in October
The Heritage Farmstead Museum has opened a new pumpkin patch experience! Poncho’s Pumpkin Patch – named for the Farmstead’s resident donkey – offers a variety of pumpkins for sale, a hay maze, a wealth of photo opportunities and more. The pumpkin patch is open Tuesday through Sunday from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. or by reservation.  There is a $3 entrance fee.

Now through Oct. 31
Scream loud and scream often at Dark Hour Haunted House! Take a journey into the unknown as you explore the grounds of Coven Manor.

Hitchcocktober at Angelika Film Center
Oct. 5, 12, 19, 26, and 31
Celebrate the master of suspense all through October with screenings of Sir Alfred Hitchcock’s classic films. Each Thursday night in October will feature one of his classic thrillers, with a bonus screening of Psycho on Halloween. Movies scheduled as follows: North by Northwest, Notorious, Vertigo, Rebecca, and Psycho.

Apparition Expedition: A Stroll Through Plano’s Paranormal Past
Oct. 13
Many denizens of downtown Plano report strange occurrences in the area’s historic buildings. Some even claim they’re haunted. Now, just in time for Halloween, you will have a chance to experience the creepy corners, back hallways and other out-of-the-way spots in historic downtown Plano. Pre-purchase is required and spots are limited. It’s the perfect way to spend your Friday the 13th this year.

The Addams Family: A New Musical
Oct. 20 through Nov. 5
The wicked and witty Addams family comes to life in this highly acclaimed musical comedy. When the grown-up Wednesday Addams falls head over heels for a normal boy, she invites his parents to the family mansion for a Gothic meet-and-greet. Sit back and savor the horrific hospitality of Gomez, Morticia, Pugsley, Grandma, Lurch and everyone’s favorite weirdo, Uncle Fester, as the special occasion brings out the best and worst in everyone involved.

The Rocky Horror Show
Oct. 20 through Nov. 4
The time warp returns to Art Centre Theatre for their annual excursion into Richard O’Brien’s universe of B-movie madness! Join Brad and Janet as they pay a visit to the castle of Frank N. Furter, alien transvestite, and his castle full of bizarre characters. Mature content; adults only please.

Haunt Jaunt 5K and Fun Run *CANCELLED DUE TO SEVERE WEATHER THREAT*
Oct. 21
The Haunt Jaunt is a nighttime Halloween themed race hosted by the City of Plano providing a fun, safe, and innovative way for families to enjoy Halloween. The 5K will take you through the nature preserve along the paved park trails and streets, combining the convenience of a smooth running surface and the beauty of the Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve. The 1 Mile Fun Run will keep you off the street and in the park for a family-friendly experience.

Monster Bash
Oct. 21
North Texas Performing Arts is throwing a party at their new location at The Shops at Willow Bend! Get your costumes prepped and your dance shoes ready! Students under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Enjoy a costume contest, games for kids of all ages, food and drink buffet, a photo booth, and a silent auction.

Oct. 26

Sherlock Holmes and the West End Horror
Oct. 26 through Nov. 18
A theatre critic has been murdered! Holmes and Watson are soon visited by aspiring Irish playwright George Bernard Shaw, who entices Holmes to take the case. Featuring some of the most famous literary luminaries of the day, this is a rollicking whodunit!

Trick or Treat at the Farm
Oct. 27
Put on your favorite costume and trick or treat at Heritage Farmstead. Activities include trick or treating, chicken feeding, tractor rides, a craft and more. Open to ages 1-9. Pre-register for ticket discount.

Young Frankenstein: The Mel Brooks Musical
Oct. 27-Nov. 4
From the creators of the record-breaking Broadway sensation, The Producers, comes this monster new musical comedy. Grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein, Frederick Frankenstein, inherits his family’s estate in Transylvania. With the help of a hunchbacked sidekick, and a leggy lab assistant, Inga, Frederick finds himself in the mad scientist shoes of his ancestors. “It’s alive!” he exclaims as he brings to life a creature to rival his grandfather’s. Eventually, of course, the monster escapes and hilarity continuously abounds. Performed by grades 8-12.
