Dive into Summer at Plano Pools

It’s almost summer and temperatures are rising here in Plano, Texas! Gather the kids and friends and head out for a refreshing day at the pool. Here is a list of pools in Plano to dive into this summer.

Last summer Plano was even crowned the best city in Texas for pool lovers and the 8^th most pool-friendly city in the nation by StorageCafe!

The Texas Pool

Admission: tourists and visitors to the historic Texas Pool pay $10 per person (adult or child); infants 2 and younger are free.

The historic Texas Pool is 168 thousand gallons of saltwater shaped like the great State of Texas. The pool features a diving board, two water slides, and an island with a shallow “South Texas” wading area for small children and parents. Cook out on their BBQ grills or enjoy the snack bar. There are picnic tables and a beach volleyball court. Coolers with food and nonalcoholic drinks are welcome.

Recently renovated! Features include a dual rider tube slide, body slide, lazy river, deep water pool with platform diving and a climbing wall, Flow Rider surf simulator, tot pool, leisure pool with some lap lanes, wet deck areas, spray features, rentable party areas and concessions.

Outdoor pool is currently closed for renovations; expected to open mid-summer 2022. Indoor pool is open.

Indoor 8-lane 25-yard pool featuring depths from 3½ ft to 12 ft, a diving board, and a large drop slide. There is a separate indoor leisure pool featuring two walking lanes, a flume slide, vortex, current channel, and a water play structure for younger crowds. Indoor lap pool is kept at 83˚ and indoor leisure pool at 85˚ year-round. Outdoor facility has a slide tower with three run-out slides, a shallow play structure, spray ground, leisure pool, concessions, and separate entrance.
