Dive into Summer at Plano Pools

It’s officially summer and temperatures are rising here in Plano, Texas! Gather the kids and friends and head out for a refreshing day at the pool. Here is a list of pools in Plano to dive into this summer:

The Texas Pool

Admission: tourists and visitors to the historic Texas Pool pay $10/person or $30/family (plus applicable 8.25% Texas sales tax) for an all-day guest pass.

The historic Texas Pool is 168 thousand gallons of saltwater shaped like the great State of Texas. The pool features a diving board, two water slides, and an island with a shallow “South Texas” wading area for small children and parents. Cook out on their BBQ grills or enjoy the snack bar. There are picnic tables and a beach volleyball court. Coolers with food and nonalcoholic drinks are welcome.

Recently renovated! Features include a dual rider tube slide, body slide, lazy river, deep water pool with platform diving and a climbing wall, Flow Rider surf simulator, tot pool, leisure pool with some lap lanes, wet deck areas, spray features, rentable party areas and concessions. *Don’t forget to check-out the new all-abilities park as well!

The outdoor shallow water pool features a water slide, a zero depth beach entry, water playground and a variety of spray features. The indoor pool features a 50-meter by 25-yard pool with a shallow water leisure area complete with water slide, crazy cactus and zero depth entry ramp.

Indoor 25-yard lap pool, play area and outdoor spray ground.

Tom Muehlenbeck Rec. Center

Indoor 8-lane 25-yard pool featuring depths from 3½ ft to 12 ft, a diving board, and a large drop slide. There is a separate indoor leisure pool featuring two walking lanes, a flume slide, vortex, current channel, and a water play structure for younger crowds. Indoor lap pool is kept at 83˚ and indoor leisure pool at 85˚ year-round. Outdoor facility has a slide tower with three run-out slides, a shallow play structure, spray ground, leisure pool, concessions, and separate entrance.
