Fall is coming and we could not be more excited for cooler weather, pumpkin spice everything, and of course, fall festival season! There are so many amazing events happening all over Plano this fall. From hot air balloon and wine festivals to shopping and live music, there is something for everyone all autumn long. Here’s a list of 20+ events to add to your fall calendar.

Otsukimi Moon-Viewing Festival
The Japan-America Society of Dallas/Fort Worth is hosting it’s 25th annual Otsukimi Moon-Viewing Celebration at Haggard Park on September 14. The free celebration incorporates musical performances, martial arts demonstrations, vendors selling Japanese food and wares, family-friendly cultural activities, and more.
H-E-B | Central Market Plano Balloon Festival
Returning this September, the H-E-B | Central Market Plano Balloon Festival will once again fill the field at Oak Point Park & Nature Preserve. Join the Plano community, also known as the official Hot Air Balloon Capital of Texas, as we host the largest balloon festival in the Lone Star State September 19-22 with all types of balloon activities, launches, and glows, plus drone shows & fireworks, live music, food, and more.
Sip & Shop in Downtown Plano
September 19 and October 17 join downtown merchants for a free Halloween-themed sip and shop event in the Downtown Plano Arts District.
Fall Plano Train Show
Get your engines ready for the Fall Plano Train Show September 28-29 at Plano Event Center. Get ready for a weekend of model trains, displays, and excitement for the whole family. Enjoy over 18 layouts on display, train vendors, and more.
Oktoberfest at Legacy Hall
On September 28 come feast at the 7th annual Oktoberfest in the Lexus “Beer” Garden brought to you by Unlawful Assembly Brewing Co.! They’ll have a wunderbar of a time with live polka & German music all day long! Throw on your lederhosen and join us for German-themed competitions and games! Here’s what to expect:

Night Out on 15th
Join downtown Plano on October 6 for a magical evening in Downtown Plano when Night Out on 15th returns. Wine and conversation will flow across a 300-foot-long table running down the middle of 15th Street with our beautiful historic buildings as the backdrop. Guests will enjoy a three-course meal followed by a dessert with select beer, wine, and spirits showcasing the diversity of our arts district restaurants. Guests will also enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail reception in McCall Plaza. Admission includes access to an exclusive whiskey and cigar after-party.
Creekside Celebration
Join Heritage Farmstead Museum on October 11 for dinner, drinks, and dancing in the meadow with music by Fleetwood X tribute band.
Beatles Night
All you need is love and Plano’s annual Beatles Night, returning on the evening of October 12! It’s a great way to sing along to Rock and Roll classics and celebrate John Lennon’s birthday (October 9). Fan-favorite Beatles tribute band Hard Night’s Day will take the stage at Red Tail Pavilion. Gates open at 6 p.m.; the show starts at 7 p.m. and ends at 10:30 p.m. Come together with your own chairs, blankets, coolers and beverages. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Please leave pets at home.
North Texas Pride Festival
The North Texas Pride Festival on October 12 at Saigling House is an annual family friendly fundraising event designed to bring the community together. Festival activities include sponsor/vendor booths, food/beverage, give-a-ways, adult and kid activities, bands, DJ, dancing and entertainment.
Diwali Mela – Dallas Festival of Lights
Diwali, known as the Festival of Lights, is the Indian celebration of good over evil, hope over hopelessness, and light over darkness. Join in on the fun at the Dallas Festival of Lights Diwali Mela at Southfork Ranch on October 13. Come celebrate at the largest grand diwali in North Texas with carnival rides, grand fireworks, Diwali Bazaar, fashion show, pony rides, music and dance performances, Ram Leela Theatre performance, and much more.
Minecraft Experience
The long-awaited Minecraft Experience makes its official debut on October 18! Become the hero of Minecraft Experience: Villager Rescue! An in-person, immersive, interactive Minecraft adventure spawning in Plano, TX. Embark on a high-stakes rescue mission and interactive scavenger hunt through multiple Minecraft biomes and dimensions. Visitors will forage for ingredients and mine precious ore, encounter friendly (and less friendly) mobs, and take down skeletons and explode creepers. Minecraft Experience: Villager Rescue is for Minecrafters of all ages (ideally ages 7+), explorers, creators and first-timers alike.

Get your holiday shopping done this fall at Hollydays Market at Plano Event Center October 18-20. With more than 130 merchants to shop with, you’re sure to find lots of new, unique, and one-of-a-kind gifts all in one place. Shop for the newest clothing trends, handmade crafts, jewelry, one-of-a-kind gifts, seasonal finds, home décor, and so much more.
Plano International Festival
On October 19, join Plano for the 20th annual celebration of multicultural fun in downtown Plano’s Haggard Park. Tour the world and improve your wellness at the FREE Plano International Festival. The area’s largest cultural event has food, fun and entertainment for the whole family. Enjoy multicultural music and dance performances, ethnic food trucks, cultural displays, an art exhibit and more. Kids can explore STEAM activities, plus travel the booths with a Festival Passport.
Southfork Experience
Join us for a weekend of unparalleled entertainment at the iconic Southfork Ranch, the heart of the beloved TV show “Dallas.” From October 25-27 immerse yourself in the world of “Dallas” and mingle with your favorite stars who brought the drama and excitement to life. Fans are invited to purchase tickets for this exclusive event, offering a range of experiences from General Admission to VIP Packages. Whether you’re a casual viewer or a die-hard fan, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Rest in Plano Fest
Step through the gargoyle gates and be transported to a Downtown Plano you’ve never seen before…if you dare. Rest in Plano (R.I.P.) Fest, a free Halloween-themed festival, returns October 26. Explore eerie experiences along 15th Street including spectacularly spooky photo ops, creepy characters, thrilling performances, and live music on the McCall Plaza stage. R.I.P. Fest offers frightful fun that guests of all ages can enjoy. We will have spooky sights all along 15th Street, but no gore or terrifying characters.
Plano Food & Wine Festival
Sip & savor at the Plano Food + Wine Festival on November 2 at Legacy West. The 7th annual event will feature over 100 award-winning wines, food from delicious local restaurants, culinary demos from local chefs, and many local boutiques and shops.
Plano Arts & Event’s Presents: the Plano Symphony Orchestra
Join us for an unforgettable evening under the stars on November 2 at the Red Tail Pavilion. Experience the magic of live music as the Plano Symphony Orchestra, conducted by the renowned guest conductor Taichi Fukumura, brings the night to life with an extraordinary performance. Bring your chairs, blankets and coolers. The evening is BYOB. Burgers, fries and soda will be available for purchase. Please leave pets at home.
Neath the Wreath
One of the largest North Texas holiday shopping events is back in Plano! Join us at the Plano Event Center for ‘Neath the Wreath on November 7-10. Per tradition, the Ladies Night Out preview party will be held on November 6. The four-day holiday gift market hosts almost 10,000 shoppers and over 125 merchants each year from throughout Texas and beyond. The market features the best in unique holiday and home décor, ladies clothing, accessories, gifts, jewelry, children’s items, gourmet food, and more.
Plano Flags of Honor
An Expression of Gratitude. From November 9-16 at the Oak Point Park Special Event Field, a field of over 1,000 3′ x 5′ American Flags will express our gratitude to our veterans and first responders. Each flag tells the story of heroes whose lives were devoted in service to others, many of whom made the ultimate sacrifice. On each flag hangs a dedication card that reflects the service given by the honoree. Each card tells the story of heroes whose lives were devoted in service to their fellow man. Hear the haunting sound of TAPS at dusk and experience the reverence of walking the field at night when the flags seem to reach out and tell their own stories.
Plano Turkey Trot
Come out Thanksgiving morning to participate in the annual Plano Turkey Trot 5k for awesome new swag and you will be rewarded at the finish line with Hypnotic Donuts. This race supports The Source of Hope dedicated to providing hope, wellness, and education to individuals in need.
