Visit Plano is bringing back its popular Taste of Plano Foodie Pass for a third year! The mobile program is designed to broaden consumer awareness of the many delicious dining options available in Plano. This year’s program builds upon two years of success with more coupons and prizes and an even bigger prize sweepstakes.
About the Taste of Plano Foodie pass
The FREE, mobile-friendly program is available to locals and visitors alike and features a “passport” showcasing over 90 Plano eateries (and growing) where users can sample everything from barbecue and brews to schnitzel and sushi, along with plenty of sweet endings. Sign up and view the complete list here.
From March 1-September 30, 2023, consumers simply go to the landing page at visitplano.com/tasteofplano to sign up for free. A link is then sent to the user’s mobile phone, which opens the passport and directs the user to add the button icon to their home screen for easy access any time. (There are no downloads or bulky apps that take up phone space.)
Then, the fun begins! Users can filter by cuisine type or browse the entire list of participating restaurants for a tempting variety of food and special offers that can be redeemed when ordering. Once the passholder arrives at their chosen eatery, they check in on their mobile phone using the saved passport link.
FOODIE Swag
New this year, users accumulate points for checking-in at participating restaurants and redeeming coupons, then their points can be cashed in for awesome prizes provided by Visit Plano such as coffee mugs, drink tumblers, t-shirts, and postcards.
Fit for a Foodie Sweepstakes
After checking-in to 20 restaurants, passholders will be automatically entered into the Fit for a Foodie sweepstakes:
- The first place winner will receive a Chef’s Table Experience & Wine Pairing for six at the Renaissance Dallas at Plano Legacy West and $500 in restaurant gift cards.
- The second place winner will receive a two-night weekend stay at the Dallas/Plano Marriott at Legacy Town Center and $250 in restaurant gift cards.
- The third place winner will receive a one-night weekend stay at the Hilton Dallas/Plano Granite Park and $100 in restaurant gift cards.
