McKinney National Airport (DTX) is preparing to welcome commercial passenger service beginning November 11, 2026, offering travelers a convenient new way to fly to and from North Texas. The new passenger terminal will provide a streamlined travel experience with convenient parking, rental car services, and modern amenities.

Avelo Airlines will serve as DTX’s first commercial carrier, establishing McKinney as one of its operating bases. The growing network will give North Texas travelers more options for affordable, convenient nonstop travel while connecting visitors to Plano from across the country.
