Welcome to Monster Camp! Monster Camp is a fully immersive hands-on weekend designed for serious students to learn the mask making process. Hosted on site in Dark Hour’s own workshop, everything you need to create is supplied for you and classes are kept small to encourage personalized direction. Students learn every step of this craft from sculpting, molding, and painting to final details. Most important to us is that the students learn the process, build confidence as they stretch their abilities, and feel comfortable to ask questions, make mistakes, learn from them, and have a great time! To be clear, this is hard work, but man, it’s fun! By the end of the weekend, you will have a completed product of your own creation. Moreover, you now can take this skill with you for your own future projects! Anyone who wishes to learn this very unique craft is welcome!

WHAT THIS IS

A rigorous, hands-on, latex mask making class for people who are eager to learn and socialize with other like-minded artists and enthusiasts.
Limited to a very small group of participants who are serious about learning.
For ages 18 & up only.

WHAT THIS ISN’T

A haunted house experience
A party environment
A daycare
A good place for people with latex allergies. We do apologize, but we will be working with latex in all its forms and it is impossible to avoid in the work shop.

THE DEETS:
LATEX HALF MASK BEGINNER LEVEL – No previous experience is required to participate. Just bring your desire to learn and an idea of what kind of creature you want to create!
