Plano Breweries

Plano has two well-known breweries serving up craft brews in unique atmospheres with amazing food to accompany them. Check out their concepts and get inspired to give them a try next time you’re in the market to indulge in a cold one.

Union Bear Brewing Co.

Union Bear is a brewery and restaurant concept inspired by a West Coast casual beer approach fused with local roots in North TX. The space is driven by a signature line of craft beers and complemented by an extensive bar offering and menu of approachable, chef-driven plates. Access to the brewers working inside the space and a highly trained staff round out the personalized experience aimed at bringing elevated food & drink pairings. The location offers indoor and outdoor seating with ample parking and access to the Boardwalk with great views of the water from the back patio.

Unlawful Assembly Brewing Co.

The third floor of one of the nation’s largest and most unique food halls, Legacy Hall, houses a fully functioning craft brewery, Unlawful Assembly Brewery & Tap Room, featuring classic pub fare and 21 operating tanks used to crank out its portfolio of premium year-round beers, along with a rotating tap selection of highly creative, collaborative and seasonal beers. The brewery opened with six premium beers: the Antagonist Amber Lager, Public Dissent Pale Ale, Deviant Behavior Belgian Wit, Real American Brown Ale, Idol Time Passion Pineapple Wheat, and Barrel Aged Brown Ale.

Guests can also enjoy the eye-catching tap room within the brewery that serves as an ideal gathering place for people looking to enjoy the sights and sounds of a working brewery while hanging out with friends. The Unlawful Assembly Tap Room can host private parties and acoustic live music shows in a unique and intimate setting.

Brewery tours are available every Saturday between 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Guests will be guided through the 8,000-square-foot brewery while expertly trained comedians lead guests through the brewing process used to create Unlawful Assembly’s high quality craft beers. Each tour costs $15 per participant and includes a limited release Unlawful Assembly beer glass, and two complimentary beers. No RSVP or pre-registration necessary. Must be 21+ to attend.
