4th of July events
PLANO’S ALL AMERICAN 4TH
Plano’s All American 4th will be held both in-person and online for 2021.The in-person event begins at 6 pm on Sunday, July 4 at Red Tail Pavilion (formerly Oak Point Amphitheater) at 2801 E Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano, TX 75074. Parking will be available at Collin College. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. The fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m. and will live stream on PTV and Plano Arts & Events Facebook page. Music will be simulcast on 97.5 KLAK. Follow @planoarts on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for the most current updates. This event is free and open to the public. Bring your blankets, lawn chairs and coolers. Please leave pets at home.
PLANO COMMUNITY BAND PATRIOTIC CONCERT
On July 3 in Haggard Park at 7 p.m., the Plano Community Band will put on a FREE patriotic concert! Bring a picnic, some patriotic spirit, and listen to the sounds of America.
DOWNTOWN PLANO 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION
Come celebrate the July 4th holiday in Downtown Plano! The restaurants will be serving up food and drinks for you to enjoy as you are entertained by the sounds of Joe Mac and Half of Nothing. Music will run from 3pm-10pm followed by a digital “cold” fireworks display. Bring the kids and chair and come celebrate in Downtown Plano on July 3 from 3 p.m.-10 p.m.

LIVE MUSIC
On Friday, July 2 at 7 p.m. kick off your 4th of July weekend at Legacy Hall with a fan-favorite: Jimmy Buffet tribute concert. Escape the stress and enjoy a Cheeseburger (slider) in Paradise from Son of A Butcher. Purchase tickets ASAP! Come early with your friends to enjoy dinner from nearly 20 eateries and craft cocktails from any of the five bars.
On Saturday, July 3 at 8 p.m. also at Legacy Hall, they will be featuring Even It Up, the cover band that will take you back to the golden days of the Wilson sisters. Even It Up is ready to rock with Heart’s greatest hits from the 70s and 80s with crowd favorites such as Barracuda and Magic Man.
Then retreat down the street to the Renaissance Hotel to enjoy a nightcap and live music from Maya Piata from 9 p.m. – midnight.
MORE FUN EVENTS
On Saturday, July 3 between 5 p.m. – 9 p.m., The Boardwalk at Granite Park is kicking off their FREE First Friday Art Trail showcasing local artwork and crafter’s creations.
On Sunday, July 4 between 11 a.m. – 4 p.m., The Boardwalk at Granite Park will host their Farmer’s Market event. Pick up local, fresh produce to make your Fourth of July cherry pie or peach cobbler!

For more Plano adventures, there is something for everyone! From a treetop adventure course to a Texas-shaped pool and bowling to nightlife, there is plenty to keep you as busy or as relaxed as you want to be.
Not to be missed this July 4th is The Texas Pool! The historic Texas Pool is 168,000 gallons of saltwater shaped like the great State of Texas. The pool features a diving board, two water slides, and an island with a shallow “South Texas” wading area for small children and parents. There are picnic tables and a beach volleyball court. Coolers with food and nonalcoholic drinks are welcome. Tourists and visitors are $10 per person (adult or child) and babies (2 and under) swim free.
Some of Plano’s walkable entertainment districts include the Downtown Plano Arts District, Legacy West, and The Shops at Legacy.
Legacy West is known as a “city within a city”; it is the largest mixed use destination in North Texas and is a great place to hang. The 255-acre development boasts plenty of open-air high-end retail and restaurants.
Nearby, The Shops at Legacy features an upscale retail mix of men’s and women’s clothing, home furnishings and more retail. The development is also home to the Angelika Film Center & Café, a stylish five-screen boutique cinema devoted to independent specialty film, as well as some of the area’s best restaurants.
Not to be missed is the Downtown Plano Arts District, which was named one of the Top 10 Best Downtowns in America by Livability.com, offering a charming setting for a simple stroll, a unique dining experience, an afternoon of shopping, or an evening’s entertainment at McCall Plaza.

Where to eat
With over 1000 restaurants, from breweries to barbecue and everything in between, Plano is for serious foodies.
Try it all at Legacy Hall! In this one-of-a-kind artisanal food hall at Legacy West, visitors can wander over 20 stalls to meet local purveyors and sample everything from lobster rolls and sushi to old fashioned hamburgers and duck fat fried chicken. There is also has an on-site brewery and an outdoor entertainment stage. Legacy Hall was even named the #2 best new food hall in the nation by USA Today in 2019.
Plano’s Granite Park Boardwalk has the same energetic but simultaneously relaxing feel that everybody knows and loves when it comes to boardwalks. The Boardwalk at Granite Park offers various restaurants with relaxing patio dining spots, a live entertainment stage, outside games like Connect Four and Corn-Hole, and is a great place to stroll, dine, and unwind. Be sure to grab a beer from Union Bear’s in-house brewery and relax on the patio!
