Restaurant Patios

Current Texas law allows restaurants to welcome dogs on their outdoor patio if the establishment posts signage, doesn’t allow dogs to enter the business’ interior, requires customers to keep their dog on a leash and doesn’t prepare any food in the outdoor area.

All restaurants at Legacy West’s shopping and dining entertainment area have patios, and there are quite a few restaurants that are pet-friendly like Bulla Gastrobar, Mesero, North Italia, Shake Shack, and True Food Kitchen. Many restaurants and shops even have dog water bowls available for your furry companion!

The same goes for The Shops at Legacy. Restaurants like Cru, Main Street Bakery, and Original ChopShop have fabulous pet-friendly patios.

The Downtown Plano Arts District is another very pet-friendly district. Cafe Gecko, The Fillmore Pub, Urban Rio, and 1418 Coffee House all have pet-friendly restaurant patio seating.

Other notable pet-friendly restaurant patios in Plano include: Katy Trail Ice House Outpost, Grub Burger Bar, Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar, Princi Italia, Snuffers, and The Holy Grail Pub.

The Box Garden at Legacy Hall is now pet friendly as well! Food hall guests can now dine outside on the patio with their pets while they enjoy food selections from nearly 20 eateries and 5 bars. Additionally, Whisk & Eggs now offers a homemade peanut butter Puppuccino served in an 8oz cup ($2 per puppuccino), and Bourbon Vanilla Ice Cream Co. offers a homemade peanut butter ice cream served in a 6oz bowl ($3 per cup), perfect for furry guests.
