To kick off 2022, we’re featuring 22 Things to Do in Plano. For the next few weeks, we’re going to highlight 22 unique activities to enjoy in our beautiful city.

Week One – Valentine’s edition

With Valentine’s Day coming up, we thought we’d kick off our 22 Things with some unique date night ideas. 💖

1. Valentine Goat Yoga

Join us for Goat Yoga at Legacy West brought to you by Fabletics and Neighborhood Goods! Come and get your yoga on while the tribe of pet goats graze and jump around (or on) you! Join the goats and celebrate the season of LOVE on February 13 from 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

2. Love & War in Texas

If you and your loved one have a shared passion for music, you’ll love this date night idea. This unique restaurant serves as a popular local hotspot for Texas singer-songwriters, with open mic night happening every Wednesday. Don’t forget to order the Texas-shaped cornbread!

3. Toulouse cafe & bar

Looking for a delicious date night option? Consider dinner for two at one of Plano’s fine dining restaurants. Toulouse is a great option, serving fine French cuisine in a romantic atmosphere at Legacy West that you and your partner are sure to love.

4. Amorino Gelato

Consider trying a new-to-you cuisine! If you’ve never tried Peruvian food, we highly recommend you try Lima Taverna.

8. Bavette grill

In the mood for a romantic steak dinner? Consider Bavette Grill, where you’ll find delicious food and a relaxed, yet sophisticated atmosphere perfect for an intimate evening together.

Week two – Texas Edition

Every year on February 1st, the U.S. recognizes the Lone Star State, its rich history, and its fiercely independent people. To commemorate this special occasion, we’re adding Texas-themed Things to our ongoing list of 22 Things to Do in Plano in 2022.

9. Texas Forever Fest

Celebrate the Lone Star State at the Texas Forever Fest, a family-friendly party with live music, Texas-themed vendors, a BBQ cookoff, and more! It’s all happening in Plano’s Haggard Park on March 26. Admission is FREE.

10. Southfork ranch

Southfork Ranch gained notoriety as the setting for the popular TV show “Dallas.” Since then, it has actually earned the nickname “The World’s Most Famous Ranch.” Visit this renowned Texas destination for Third Monday Trade Days, trail rides, special events, and more.

11. Haywire

Texas tried-and-true meets urban refresh at Haywire at Legacy West. This southern-chic three-story restaurant serves up the best Texas cuisine and features a whiskey lounge, rooftop patio, and views of the Legacy Hall Box Garden.

12. Norma’s cafe

Norma’s Cafe is a fabulous homestyle restaurant that offers up all things Texas! From Texas-themed décor to delicious homemade dishes including the Texas Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs.

The Texas Pool is listed in the National Register of Historic Places, and it serves as a favorite gathering place for locals and visitors alike. The pool reopens for the 2022 swim season on Memorial Day.

The renowned Lockhart Smokehouse fires up great smoked meat classics and unique menu items you won’t want to miss. The Burnt End Bloody Mary, for example, features a truly Texan garnish of brisket burnt ends, jalapeño sausage, pickled veggies, and olives!

Week three – Travel the world in plano

This week we are wrapping up the series with different global-themed experiences you can enjoy right here in Plano.

Located in downtown Plano in the oldest house in Plano (built in 1867) you’ll find a wonderful shop and cultural center dedicated to Nordic Heritage. They offer tours and sell books about vikings, hand-carved model ships, tasty Scandinavian food, and so much more!

18. St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations

This St. Patty’s Day, let the luck of the Irish lead you to Plano! Come party in the Downtown Plano Arts District, and enjoy Green Beer Happy Hour with live music at Legacy Hall.

Get your fill of delicious Japanese cuisine when you visit Ai Sushi in Plano. The sashimi is a fan-favorite and the rolls are always made fresh to order.
