We continue sharing the stories behind some of our favorite food in our next round of great food temptation videos from some of our favorite places in Plano.
So far we’ve enjoyed a wide variety of cuisine – we experienced Brazilian cuisine then a favorite from Mexico to an all-American burger and champagne, and Indian. This month, we’re headed to France with a visit to Edith’s French Bistro. Throughout the series, we’ll hear from these tastemakers in our community and discover where their passion comes from. Here on the blog, we’re going to take you behind the scenes every month!
Let’s go to Edith’s French Bistro!
Meet Cynthia, a fan-favorite server at Edith’s French Bistro. Cynthia loves that Edith’s is filled with a variety of such great temptations in a charming, modern-chic atmosphere. Although she loves to cook, she leaves it to the pros in the kitchen when it comes to her favorite dish at Edith’s.
From the smoked salmon tartine, escargot bourguignonne, and steak frites, to a large selection of house-made pastries, croissants and macaroons, Edith’s features sophisticated American renditions of classic French dishes.
Edith’s French Bistro gives you the sense of being in a bright and authentic French bistro, located on The Boardwalk in Plano. Their cozy patio overlooks the Boardwalk’s beautiful water feature in the center of Granite Park. On a nice day, enjoy High Tea on the patio enjoying the sights and sounds of The Boardwalk while sipping gourmet tea and nibbles of Edith’s finest sandwiches and desserts.
Cynthia’s favorite dish is the Roasted Scottish Salmon because of how flavor-filled it is – and it’s relatively healthy! Made with salmon raised off the coast of Scotland (Scottish salmon has a higher fat content therefore giving off a delicious buttery texture), marinated vegetables, a green pea emulsion, lemon butter sauce, and a fresh salad. It’s as beautiful as it is delicious. Since the menu changes seasonally at Edith’s, we suggest asking your server for what they recommend. Trust us, they’ll pick something amazing!
Now top off your meal with a decadent French dessert like macaroons, pastries, scones, or specialty cakes and a delicious cup of coffee or tea.
They currently offer dine-in, curbside, and takeout.
