North Texas Performing Arts and the Plano Youth Theatre presents “The Tamin’ of the Shrew” February 9-11 at the Willow Bend Center for the Arts. This is a modern Texas adaptation by Jon Gerrard.
Hello y’all! This production is Shakespeare’s classic The Taming of the Shrew, but with a few Texas twists and turns to go along with one heck of an endin’. Kate is one of the rowdiest ladies that ever was, but with such a large dowry (that was somethin’ people used to pay dudes who married their daughter for you youngins) Antonio, of Waco, will take on any challenge. With many other love plots and doggone funny situations and switcheroos, all taking place in the city of Dallas, this is sure to be a truck ride you don’t wanna miss out on!
