Due to projected ongoing Covid-19 conditions and safety guidelines, the following changes for the Steve Rogers workshop is necessary:
The September Steve Rogers workshop will be a 3 Day INTERACTIVE ONLINE workshop on September 8, 9, 10 from 9:00 am central time to approximately 4:00 pm. The cost is $250 for SWS members, $300 for non-members. Participants will access the workshop in the safety and comfort of their own homes.
Steve has invested in quality audio, video and new computer equipment to insure the experience and quality will be excellent.
There are some exciting features to look forward to!
There will be a lesson in the morning, i,e. Design Principles, Color and Value, Boats and Reflections, etc.
After each lesson, Steve will begin a demonstration painting and as he does in a regular class, he will “get around the room” and answer questions and offer individual help. Workshop participants will use ZOOM to share their work with Steve and others by holding up their painting to the camera in the device they are using. Steve and classmates will be able to see the individual’s work.
The other students will benefit from what is being said as they work on their own paintings. Steve will do this in bite size segments, painting for a while and going back to help the class. The class can easily follow along either with images that he provides or they may use their own similar references.
The class will also have exclusive access to a private Facebook group beginning two weeks before the workshop to meet the group and ask any technical questions in preparation for the workshop. During the workshop itself, Steve may ask painters to post photos of their workshop paintings. Participation in the Facebook Group is optional and is not required.
Another bonus benefit for the “virtual workshop” is that video of Steve’s demos will be available for a limited time after the workshop concludes!
