Preschool Wednesday at Heritage Farmstead Museum – Teddy Bear Picnic
April 28, 2021 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
BRING YOUR FAVORITE BEAR OR STUFFED ANIMAL FOR A PRETEND PICNIC ON THE FARM! CHILDREN WILL PARTICIPATE IN STORYTIME, MAKE A PARTY HAT FOR THEIR SPECIAL FRIEND, AND TREAT THEM TO A PRETEND TEA PARTY. CHILDREN WILL ALSO HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO FEED OUR CHICKENS AND GO ON A WAGON RIDE.
Fun on the Farm is a literacy-based program designed to meet the needs of preschoolers and their grown-ups, as well as to provide a safe, outdoor space for experiential learning. Most appropriate for children ages 18 months to 5 years old, our programs offer families the opportunity to participate in story-time, experience farm life and have fun outdoors on our 4.5 acre historic site.
Gates open at 10am, at which time we invite students and their families to be active participants in the educational activities stationed throughout the farm. Stations shut down promptly at noon. We encourage participants to stay and enjoy our grounds with time for a picnic lunch. Gates close at 2pm. Admission is $10 per child and $5 per adult. Babies who aren’t old enough to participate but come along with a sibling are free.
