Dickens 2019 in Historic Downtown Plano Arts District
Dickens is a FREE annual event nestled in the heart of the Historic Downtown Plano Arts District. It’s the traditional family holiday event of the year! With live entertainment, delicious food, a variety of attractions and a visit from Santa – there’s something for everyone to enjoy. You’ll see occasional strolling carolers in costume and the Interurban Museum opens its doors for some Polar Express fun.
Food vendors offer an assortment of tasty treats, including: hot drinks, kettle corn, smoked turkey legs, fried fish and shrimp, funnel cake and more! Many downtown businesses extend their hours and invite you to browse for the perfect holiday gifts for everyone on your “nice” list.
We’re bringing back all the favorites for this annual celebration, including free s’mores, a real snow slide, and ice wars, and adding a Victorian twist, complete with Scrooge, Victorian music and entertainment and free photos with a Victorian Santa. We’ll also have carolers from Plano Independent School District, a Trimmed Tree Trail, multiple food options and more than 50 artist in the Vendor Village. And don’t miss the Tree Lighting at 7pm! Families and leashed dogs are welcome.
