Celebrate Holi at Davis Library

February 24, 2018 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Learn all about South Asian culture and the tradition of Holi, a Hindu festival celebrated each spring, primarily in India and Nepal. Also known as the “festival of colors,” Holi signifies the end of winter and the arrival of spring. You can get in the real spirit of the holiday by throwing colorful powder at one another, one of the main customs practiced in the traditional Hindi celebration. Other activities include craft making, henna art and storytelling.

2:00 – 4:00 pm:  Crafts, henna art and other activities
2:30 & 3:30 pm: Storytelling
2:30 pm: Play Holi and welcome spring by throwing some colored powder at your neighbor.

Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Activity will be outdoors by the pond at Davis Library.
