2020 USA Climbing Combined Invitational

Summit climbing gym in Plano is the site for the 2020 USA Climbing Combined Invitational from Friday-Sunday, January 10-12, 2020. Team Texas USA Climbing is the local host club. This event will be covered by ESPN for broadcast/streaming through one of their auxiliary channels.
Seventy adults, thirty-five women and thirty-five men, are invited to compete in speed, bouldering and lead climbing. The event will be run in the Olympic format, though it is not known, yet, if the event will be an Olympic qualifier.
The schedule has not been detailed, yet, but Speed qualifiers are Friday morning, Bouldering qualifiers are Friday afternoon and Lead qualifiers are Saturday morning. Then Speed, Bouldering and Lead finals are all on Sunday.
Tickets will be sold at the door, though spectators will be limited due to limited space.
Friday and Saturday: $15 Entry for each day
Sunday: $20 Entry
Weekend pass: $40 Entry
1. Kiara Pellicane-Hart is a 16-year old from Plano who recently placed second at the World Youth Championships in August 2019 in Arco, Italy. She is a 7-year veteran of Team Texas, represented USA Climbing team in Speed and placed 4th at the 2019 Youth Worlds in Moscow and placed 12th at the 2017 Youth Worlds in Innsbruck. 2. Two Team Texas climbers competed in the Pan American Youth Climbing Championships in Ecuador over Thanksgiving and the following weekend.
