#ShopPlano this Small Business Saturday

Black Friday may be one of the biggest shopping days of the year, but customers have been able to kick-start their holiday shopping season on a day celebrating the uniqueness, charm, and economic impact that small businesses bring to communities nationwide. Taking place the Saturday following Thanksgiving, Small Business Saturday was created to encourage consumers to support local, small businesses within their communities.

The charming brick-lined streets offer a little something for everyone. There are several fabulous boutiques selling handmade jewelry, home decor, clothing, children’s clothing, accessories, antiques, and so much more. Small Business Saturday Consumer Insights Survey Results:

  • 95 million consumers shopped at small businesses on Small Business Saturday 2015 which is an 8% increase from 2014.
  • Total spending among U.S. consumers who were aware of Small Business Saturday reached $16.2 billion, an increase of 14% from $14.3 billion in 2014.
