World’s Largest Swimming Lesson

Come be a part of the Guinness World Record for the largest swimming lesson.  Swimming is a lifesaving skill for children and a vital tool to prevent drowning.  Join us for a fun-filled event where every participant will receive a free lesson and certificate.  Ages 6 and up, please.  Held at the Jack Carter Pool.

Since drowning is one of the leading causes of accidental death of children, The World’s Largest Swimming Lesson is looking to take on the problem head on.  Aquatic facilities in Plano and around the world will unite on June 22, for the eighth year in a row to participate in the world’s largest swimming lesson.  Research shows that participation in formal swimming lessons reduces the risk of drowning by 88 percent for children ages 1-4, sadly many children do not receive proper lessons.  This program has given lessons to more than 155,000 children and adults around the world.

Register through the Leisure catalog.  Course 193076.
