DFW International Airport is the home of American Airlines and its international headquarters. The airport serves 153 cities worldwide, including a total of 116 non-stop domestic destinations and 37 non-stop and direct international destinations. DFW Airport also has five low-fare carriers from which to choose, offering service to major destinations throughout the U.S.

Directions: You can enter the Airport from State Highway 114 and Interstate 635 on the north. Normal drive time from downtown Plano to DFW ranges from 30-45 minutes. Upon your approach to D/FW tune your radio to 530 AM for pre-recorded airport information.

Dallas Love Field is the headquarters for Southwest Airlines, the fourth largest U.S. airline in terms of domestic customers carried. Owned and operated by the City of Dallas, Love hosts four airlines that fly to Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Louisiana, Arkansas, Alabama and Mississippi. Service is limited to regional flights due to the Wright Amendment.

Directions: From US 75 or the Dallas North Tollway, take the Mockingbird Lane exit, go west on Mockingbird, turn right onto Cedar Springs Road and proceed to the Dallas Love Field terminal building. Approximate driving time from downtown Plano is 30 minutes.

Dallas Executive Airport, formerly known as Redbird Airport, is a public located six miles southwest of the central business district of the City of Dallas in Dallas County. The airport is used entirely for general aviation purposes and serves as a reliever airport for Dallas Love Field.

Dallas Executive Airport covers 1,070 acres and has two runways:

• Runway 13/31: 6,451 x 150 ft (1,966 x 46 m), Surface: Asphalt/Concrete
• Runway 17/35: 3,800 x 150 ft (1,158 x 46 m), Surface: Asphalt/Concrete

Addison Airport is a public airport located in the Town of Addison, an incorporated city in Dallas County, Texas. It is nine miles (14 km) north of the central business district of the city of Dallas.

The airport was established in 1954 and was purchased by the Town of Addison in 1976. It is the busiest general aviation airport in Texas and among the five busiest in the United States. In addition, it is the busiest single-runway airport in the country. The airport is also home to the Cavanaugh Flight Museum.

Addison Airport covers an area of 368-acres and contains one runway designated 15/33 with a 7,202 x 100 ft. asphalt pavement.

Arlington Municipal Airport is a public-use airport located four miles south of the central business district of Arlington, in Tarrant County, Texas, The airport is at the intersection of Interstate 20 and South Collins Road. This general aviation airport is publicly owned by City of Arlington and serves as a reliever airport for Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport and Dallas Love Field.

Arlington Municipal Airport covers 628 acres (254 ha) and has one runway:

Fort Worth Alliance Airport is a city-owned public-use airport located 14 miles north of the central business district of Fort Worth, city in Tarrant County, Texas.

Billed as the world's first purely industrial airport, it was developed in a joint venture between the City of Fort Worth, the Federal Aviation Administration and Hillwood Development Company, a real estate development company owned by H. Ross Perot, Jr. The official groundbreaking ceremonies were held in July 1988, and the airport officially opened on December 14, 1989. The airport is owned by the City of Fort Worth and managed by Alliance Air Services, a subsidiary of Hillwood.

Alliance is a cargo hub for FedEx Express and is a maintenance base of American Airlines.

Fort Worth Alliance Airport covers an area of 1,198 acres which contains two concrete paved runways: 16L/34R measuring 9,600 x 150 ft (2,926 x 46 m) and 16R/34L measuring 8,220 x 150 ft (2,505 x 46 m).

Fort Worth Meacham International Airport (commonly referred to as Meacham Field) is an airport in Fort Worth, Texas. The airport is located at the intersection of Interstate 820 and U.S. Highway 287 in northwest Fort Worth, near the downtown business district. Meacham International Airport has two parallel runways and a crosswind runway.

Fort Worth Spinks Airport is a public airport located fourteen miles south of the central business district of Fort Worth, in Tarrant County, Texas. The airport is the newest of the three airports that are owned by the City of Fort Worth and it serves the cities of Fort Worth, Burleson, and Mansfield. This airport is located at the intersection of Interstate 35W and HWY 1187 and serves as a reliever airport for Fort Worth Meacham International Airport and Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.

Collin County Regional Airport at McKinney is located two miles southeast of McKinney, Texas. The airport has one runway.

The airport is used entirely for general aviation purposes and serves as a reliever airport for Dallas Love Field. The airport elevation is 585 feet above sea level. It is a controlled field with an FAA control tower open between 6:00am and 11:00am.

The only runway at the field is runway 17/35. The runway is 7,001 feet long by 100 feet  wide. It is equipped with medium intensity runway lights, MALSR approach lights, runway 17 PAPI, and runway 35 VASI. Runway 17 is equipped with a Category I ILS approach.

The airport is owned by the City of McKinney. The only fixed based operator (FBO) on the field is Cutter Aviation.
